Life changes & challenging times
can deliver many stresses.
These can build up, on top of each other,
acting like an overwhelming deluge.
These stresses can therefore reach a point where they become like a deluge. At times these stresses can overwhelm us. This situation can be ongoing. This means there may appear to be no ending or resolution in sight, no rest for us.
If there are no cut off points, or ways to stop the continual deluge we are experiencing in our daily lives, this places increasingly negative demands upon us. We become drained and we can risk emotional burnout.
Rapid changes may be taking place in our everyday lives, bringing new issues that we have to engage with and try to manage on a daily basis. All of this can be very draining upon our well-being, leading to negative health impacts such as exhaustion.

How we can explore well-being: The resources on this site are a set of skills to learn, like any other skills we have acquired or sports activities we have taken part in.
So, as with any exercise, we need to take it gently. We need to be kind to ourselves. We notice what we are experiencing. We reflect on what we are feeling. We practise regularly to get the best health benefits for us, to help protect our well-being in challenging times.
